How the links work
Some product pages link to a brand store or a retailer. Where KiloHour is part of that merchant's affiliate program, the link goes through a short KiloHour address that forwards you to the store, and the merchant may pay us a commission on a qualifying purchase. The price you pay is the same as going to the store directly.
Affiliate links are marked as sponsored for search engines. Each one sits next to this disclosure line, and no page uses countdown timers or invented discounts.
What a commission does not change
Runtime estimates, verdicts, rankings and spec tables are computed from published manufacturer specs and the documented assumptions on the methodology page. A brand's affiliate program, or the lack of one, has no input into that math. Products without any affiliate program are listed and calculated the same way.
What we record
When you follow an affiliate link, we count the click with the product, the store, your country and the KiloHour page you came from. No name, email, IP address or cookie is stored with it.
Independence
KiloHour is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by any brand it covers. Brand and product names are trademarks of their respective owners. Questions about a link: hello@kilohour.com.
