How this calculator works

Pick a power station and the devices you want to run. Each device's watts are multiplied by its hours a day to get the energy you need, then divided into what the battery can actually deliver after inverter losses and idle draw. Every number the maker doesn't publish is replaced by a labelled assumption, shown under the result.

The cautious and optimistic runtimes move efficiency and idle draw within realistic limits, and runtimes always round down. The formulas and every default are on the methodology page.
