7.2 h of full sun to refill 1,070 Wh from 0%, at 4.5 sun hours a day.

Uses these assumptions

  • Solar harvest vs panel rating
  • Peak sun hours per day

How refill time is worked out

A station can only take so much solar. Panel watts above its published solar input limit are clipped, and what is left is reduced to what panels deliver in real conditions. The battery's empty share is then divided by that output to get hours of full sun, and spread over the sun hours you get a day.

Peak sun hours change with season and place, so the table shows low, typical and high sun side by side. The formulas and the sources for each default are on the methodology page.
