Who we are

KiloHour is an independent calculator site run by Inam Ur Rehman. For anything in this policy, email hello@kilohour.com.

What we collect ourselves

There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms on KiloHour. We do not set cookies of our own. We record two kinds of anonymous counts:

• Page speed. After a page loads, your browser sends a small report to our /api/vitals/ address: the speed metric (LCP, INP or CLS), its value and rating, the page path without any query string, the navigation type, and your country as our host reports it. No IP address, user agent, cookie or identifier is stored with it.
• Affiliate link clicks. When you follow a store link through a /go/ address, we count the product, the store, your country and the KiloHour page you came from. No name, email, IP address or cookie is stored with it.

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.

Stored in your browser

Your theme choice and the devices you last entered in a calculator are kept in your browser's local storage so the page remembers them. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Hosting and analytics

KiloHour is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes each request, including your IP address and browser details, under the Cloudflare privacy policy. We see aggregate traffic figures from Cloudflare, such as page views and countries. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage to follow visitors.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Some pages show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this site and other sites, and to measure them. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on those visits.

• Turn off personalised ads from Google in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of other participating ad companies at aboutads.info.

Ads are labelled "Advertisement" and never placed inside a calculator result. Ads never change our numbers.

Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Ads are not shown to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or when we cannot tell which country a visit comes from. Showing ads there needs a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform, and we have not enabled one yet. Until we do, those visits make no ad request and get no Google advertising cookies from KiloHour.

If we enable a consent tool, we will update this section first. You will then see its consent message before any ad loads, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy settings link it provides.

Affiliate links and merchant cookies

Some product pages link to a brand store. When you follow one, that store or its affiliate network may set its own cookies to credit a purchase to KiloHour. Those cookies are covered by the store's privacy policy, not this one. We do not receive your name, address or payment details from them. See the affiliate disclosure for how the links work.

Your US state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and other US states, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or its sharing for targeted advertising.

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies from Google and its partners may count as a "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising under some state laws.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: to opt out, turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings, block third-party cookies in your browser, or email hello@kilohour.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share". You can use the same address for any other request about your information. We will not treat you differently for making one.

Children

KiloHour is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. It was last updated on 9 Oct 2026.
