Every device lists the source of its watts in your load below.

Your load

All on at once
60 W
Energy a day

Solar panels while you wait

Rated capacity you need

2,150 Wh

967 Wh a day from the battery, over 2 days. Peak draw 60 W.

Uses these assumptions

  • Usable share of rated capacity
  • Inverter efficiency
  • Inverter idle draw (W)
How this is calculated

Stations that meet it

How the size is worked out

Each device's watts times its hours a day gives the energy it uses. That total is raised for inverter losses, the inverter's own idle draw is added for every hour it stays on, and the result is multiplied by the days you need to cover. Solar, if you add it, is subtracted day by day.

Because a battery can't deliver all of its rated watt-hours, the energy you need is divided by the usable share to get the rated capacity to shop for. A station only appears in the list if its continuous and surge ratings also handle everything running at once. The formulas are on the methodology page.
