Our take
What the F3800 is good at, and what to watch for
KiloHour take A good fit for home backup that needs 240V outlets and room to expand, as long as a 132.3 lb unit you roll rather than carry works for you.
The SOLIX F3800 is a home backup unit on wheels: 3,840Wh of LFP, 6,000W of continuous output at both 120V and 240V, and a 9,000W surge rating. It has six NEMA 5-20 outlets plus 240V outlets including a NEMA 14-50 and an L14-30, so it can run 240V equipment that a 120V-only station cannot.
Scale is the reason to choose it. Anker lists expansion with up to six 3.84kWh batteries, or 26.9kWh in one system, and two F3800 units can be paired for up to 53.8kWh and 12kW. The page lists up to 2,400W of solar on two 60V inputs, 1,800W AC charging, a UPS switchover under 20 ms, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth app control, 3,000 or more cycles and a five-year warranty. Anker lists EV charging through the NEMA 14-50 outlet and RV power through the NEMA 14-50 and L14-30 outlets.
The trade-offs are size and a few rules. At 132.3 lb it is a roll-it-across-the-floor product, not something to carry. Anker's FAQ says that while it recharges from AC, only the 120V UPS outlet can power other devices. The 3,200W solar figure and the TT-30 outlet that also appear on the page belong to the F3800 Plus, which adds generator bypass; the F3800 itself takes 2,400W of solar through two XT-60 inputs.

FAQ
SOLIX F3800 questions
Answers use the same published specs and labelled assumptions as the calculator.
How long will the F3800 last?
3,840 Wh stored, about 3,456 Wh of it usable at the typical estimate. At its full 6,000 W rating it empties in about 28–31 min.
Can you add batteries to the F3800?
Yes. Anker SOLIX lists expansion to 26,880 Wh, about 7 times the built-in 3,840 Wh.
What is the F3800 solar input?
Up to 2,400 W of panels. A single 200 W panel needs about 5.2 sunny days; panels at the full 2,400 W need about 2.2 peak-sun hours. Panels are assumed to deliver 75% of their rating.
Can the F3800 run a CPAP overnight?
Yes: 8 nights of 8 hours from a CPAP drawing 34 W with its heated humidifier and tube on (ResMed's measured figure).
How many watts can the F3800 power?
6,000 W continuous. Motor starts can briefly pull up to 9,000 W.
