Our take
What the F3800 Plus is good at, and what to watch for
KiloHour take A good fit for whole-home backup with large solar arrays or a 240V generator, but at 136.7 lb it is heavier than the F3800, and Anker lists no surge or UPS figure for it.
The SOLIX F3800 Plus is a 3,840Wh LFP home backup unit with 6,000W of continuous output at 120V and 240V, including an L14-30 outlet rated for the full 6,000W at 240V and a TT-30 RV outlet rated at 3,000W. It weighs 136.7 lb and rolls on wheels.
The Plus changes charging more than output. Two 11 to 165V inputs take 1,600W each, so solar reaches 3,200W, and a 240V bypass cable connects a wall outlet or a pure sine generator for up to 6,000W of bypass charging. Anker notes that a single unit takes 3,300W from a generator, rising to 6,000W with one or more expansion batteries, and that the generator adapter supports only one unit. Up to six 3.84kWh batteries take a unit to 26,880Wh.
Against the F3800, Anker's comparison table lists these differences: the F3800 has no generator bypass, a 1,800W maximum AC input, 2,400W of solar through two XT-60 inputs and a NEMA 14-50 outlet where the Plus has the TT-30. The F3800 is also 4.4 lb lighter at 132.3 lb, and its own page lists a 9,000W surge and 20 ms UPS switchover.
For the Plus, Anker's page does not list a surge rating or a UPS switchover time, so plan around the 6,000W continuous figure. The 240V output cannot be used while the unit charges from 120V AC, and Storm Guard and the bill-saving mode both need Anker's Home Power Panel.

FAQ
SOLIX F3800 Plus questions
Answers use the same published specs and labelled assumptions as the calculator.
How long will the F3800 Plus last?
3,840 Wh stored, about 3,456 Wh of it usable at the typical estimate. At its full 6,000 W rating it empties in about 28–31 min.
Can you add batteries to the F3800 Plus?
Yes. Anker SOLIX lists expansion to 26,880 Wh, about 7 times the built-in 3,840 Wh.
What is the F3800 Plus solar input?
Up to 3,200 W of panels. A single 200 W panel needs about 5.2 sunny days; panels at the full 3,200 W need about 1.6 peak-sun hours. Panels are assumed to deliver 75% of their rating.
Can the F3800 Plus run a CPAP overnight?
Yes: 8 nights of 8 hours from a CPAP drawing 34 W with its heated humidifier and tube on (ResMed's measured figure).
Which F3800 Plus specs are not published?
Not listed by Anker SOLIX: surge rating, 12 V car port output, UPS switchover time.
