Our take
What the C300 DC is good at, and what to watch for
KiloHour take Pick it if your gear charges over USB-C or a 12V socket and you want 288Wh in a 6.17 lb case, but it has no AC outlets and no UPS mode.
The SOLIX C300 DC stores 288Wh in LFP cells but has no AC inverter, so everything runs from its DC ports: two 140W USB-C ports that both charge and discharge, a 100W USB-C port, a 15W USB-C port, USB-A and a 120W car socket. Anker's manual caps total output at 300W across all ports and lists a net weight of 6.17 lb (2.8 kg).
Recharging is flexible for a DC unit. With both 140W USB-C ports in use, the manual lists up to 280W of USB-C charging, so it refills from USB-C wall chargers rather than an AC cable. It also takes a car charging cable, or 11 to 28V panels for up to 100W of solar through XT60.
Choosing among the 288Wh SOLIX models comes down to AC. The C300 and C300X share the same capacity but add a 300W AC inverter with 600W SurgePad and a 10 ms UPS mode, and the C300 weighs 9.1 lb with a five-year warranty. The C300 DC drops the inverter, is about a third lighter and carries a three-year warranty.
It suits campers and travelers whose gear charges over USB-C or a 12V socket, such as phones, laptops, cameras and 12V lights. Anker's comparison table lists no UPS mode for this model, so it is not meant to sit between a wall outlet and a router. Anything with a wall plug needs the C300 instead.

FAQ
SOLIX C300 DC questions
Answers use the same published specs and labelled assumptions as the calculator.
Does the C300 DC have an AC outlet?
No. It has no inverter, so it only powers 12 V and USB devices, up to 140 W from one USB-C port. A CPAP needs its maker's DC adapter to run from it.
How long will the C300 DC last?
288 Wh stored, about 259 Wh of it usable at the typical estimate.
What is the C300 DC solar input?
Its limit is 100 W, below a 200 W panel, so extra panel watts are clipped. Expect about 0.8 days of 5-hour sun to refill it. Panels are assumed to deliver 75% of their rating.
How heavy is the Anker SOLIX C300 DC?
6.17 lb (2.8 kg). That is about 47 Wh per pound.
