What the Power 500 runs
From its 1,000 W AC outlets, 1 of 6 listed devices last their usual hours, the fridge, microwave (1,000 w cooking power), space heater, tv and wi-fi router do not.
- Tight fit
Fridge 123 W
7–8 h
It runs about 8 h 8 min, short of the 24 h you need. Runtime at its 41 W average, as the compressor cycles.
- Can't run it
Microwave (1,000 W cooking power) 1500 W
Not available
Draws 1,500 W; the Power 500 is rated 1,000 W continuous. It will shut off.
- Can't run it
Space heater 1500 W
Not available
Draws 1,500 W; the Power 500 is rated 1,000 W continuous. It will shut off.
- Tight fit
TV 120 W
2–3 h
It runs about 3 h 8 min, short of the 4 h you need.
- Runs it
CPAP with humidifier 34 W
8–9 h
34 W running and a 34 W startup peak fit within the Power 500's 1,000 W continuous rating. DJI doesn't publish a surge rating, so that check is unknown.

Our take
What the Power 500 is good at, and what to watch for
KiloHour take A good fit for creators and drone users who want plenty of USB-C and SDC power in a small body, but 512Wh drains quickly under high-draw loads.
The DJI Power 500 holds 512Wh of LFP in a 7.3 kg body, with two AC outlets rated at 1,000W continuous on the US model. That is high output for this capacity, but DJI notes that full continuous output is available only when the battery is above 20 percent.
Its port selection suits creators and drone users. There are two 100W USB-C ports (PD 3.0), two 24W USB-A ports and an SDC Lite output rated up to 240W. Charging options include up to 540W from the wall, a 300W SDC Lite input and 100W through each USB-C port, with up to 200W when both USB-C inputs are used together. DJI rates the cells to keep over 70 percent capacity after 4,000 cycles.
The fine print matters here. The 540W AC charge rate needs the battery at 60 percent or more and an ambient temperature of 68 to 95 F; otherwise it charges more slowly. Bypass output from the wall is capped at 1,000W. Charging is only allowed from 32 F, and DJI's spec page does not publish a surge rating, a solar input rating or a UPS switchover time, so we leave those as not published. With 512Wh, high-draw loads drain it quickly.

FAQ
Power 500 questions
Answers use the same published specs and labelled assumptions as the calculator.
How long will the Power 500 last?
512 Wh stored, about 461 Wh of it usable at the typical estimate. At its full 1,000 W rating it empties in about 22–24 min.
Can the Power 500 run a CPAP overnight?
Yes: one 8-hour night from a CPAP drawing 34 W with its heated humidifier and tube on (ResMed's measured figure).
Which Power 500 specs are not published?
Not listed by DJI: surge rating, solar input limit, 12 V car port output, weight, UPS switchover time.
How many watts can the Power 500 power?
1,000 W continuous.
How fast does the Power 500 charge from solar?
DJI has not published a solar input limit for the Power 500, so refill times are not shown.
