What the SOLIX C1000 runs

From its 1,800 W AC outlets, 3 of 6 listed devices last their usual hours, the fridge, microwave (1,000 w cooking power) and space heater do not.

  • Tight fit

    Fridge 123 W

    14–17 h

It runs about 16 h 47 min, short of the 24 h you need. Runtime at its 41 W average, as the compressor cycles.

  • Runs briefly

    Microwave (1,000 W cooking power) 1500 W

    31–34 min

The SOLIX C1000 runs it, but only for about 33 min at 1,500 W.

  • Runs briefly

    Space heater 1500 W

    31–34 min

The SOLIX C1000 runs it, but only for about 33 min at 1,500 W.

  • Runs it

    TV 120 W

    5–6 h

    120 W running and a 120 W startup peak fit within the SOLIX C1000's 1,800 W continuous and 2,400 W surge ratings.

  • Runs it

    CPAP with humidifier 34 W

    16–20 h

    34 W running and a 34 W startup peak fit within the SOLIX C1000's 1,800 W continuous and 2,400 W surge ratings.

  • Runs it

    Wi-Fi router 10 W

    35–45 h

    10 W running and a 10 W startup peak fit within the SOLIX C1000's 1,800 W continuous and 2,400 W surge ratings.

Our take

What the C1000 is good at, and what to watch for

KiloHour take Pick it if you may need more capacity later, since Anker's add-on battery doubles it, but its UPS switchover is slower and its cycle rating lower than newer rivals.

The SOLIX C1000 holds 1,056Wh of LiFePO4 and delivers 1,800W of continuous pure sine wave output across six AC outlets, with a 2,400W surge listed on Anker's spec sheet. At 28.44 lb (12.9 kg) it sits in the middle of the 1kWh class for weight.

Its main advantage over its newer sibling is expansion. Anker lists an add-on battery that doubles capacity to 2,112Wh, which matters if your needs may grow. The page also lists 1,300W AC input with 80 percent in 43 minutes and a full charge in under an hour, up to 600W of solar on an 11 to 60V input, a 120W car socket, a 100W USB-C port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth app control, 3,000 cycles to 80 percent capacity and a five-year warranty.

The trade-offs show up next to newer models. Anker's own comparison table lists a 20 ms UPS switchover for the C1000, slower than the 10 ms it lists for the C1000 Gen 2. That same C1000 Gen 2 comparison lists the C1000 at a 3,000W peak, while the C1000 spec sheet says 2,400W surge; we use the spec sheet. SurgePad, Anker's mode for running higher-wattage heat-generating devices, does not support precision instruments or devices with strict voltage requirements, per Anker's FAQ. Its rated cycle count is also lower than some rivals that list 4,000 cycles.

FAQ

SOLIX C1000 questions

Answers use the same published specs and labelled assumptions as the calculator.

How long will the C1000 last?

1,056 Wh stored, about 950 Wh of it usable at the typical estimate. At its full 1,800 W rating it empties in about 26–28 min.

What is SurgePad on the C1000?

SurgePad lifts the limit to 2,400 W, for resistive loads (kettles, heaters) only. Motors and electronics stay capped at 1,800 W. Motor starts can briefly pull up to 2,400 W.

Can you add batteries to the C1000?

Yes. Anker SOLIX lists expansion to 2,112 Wh, about 2 times the built-in 1,056 Wh.

What is the C1000 solar input?

Up to 600 W of panels. A single 200 W panel needs about 1.5 sunny days; panels at the full 600 W need about 2.4 peak-sun hours. Panels are assumed to deliver 75% of their rating.

Can the C1000 run a CPAP overnight?

Yes: 2 nights of 8 hours from a CPAP drawing 34 W with its heated humidifier and tube on (ResMed's measured figure).
