What the Power 1000 Mini runs

From its 800 W AC outlets, 3 of 6 listed devices last their usual hours, the fridge, microwave (1,000 w cooking power) and space heater do not.

  • Tight fit

    Fridge 123 W

    14–16 h

It runs about 16 h 1 min, short of the 24 h you need. Runtime at its 41 W average, as the compressor cycles.

  • Can't run it

    Microwave (1,000 W cooking power) 1500 W

    Not available

Draws 1,500 W; the Power 1000 Mini is rated 800 W continuous. It will shut off.

  • Can't run it

    Space heater 1500 W

    Not available

Draws 1,500 W; the Power 1000 Mini is rated 1,000 W in max (non-continuous). It will shut off.

  • Runs it

    TV 120 W

    5–6 h

120 W running and a 120 W startup peak fit within the Power 1000 Mini's 800 W continuous rating. DJI doesn't publish a surge rating, so that check is unknown.

  • Runs it

    CPAP with humidifier 34 W

    16–19 h

34 W running and a 34 W startup peak fit within the Power 1000 Mini's 800 W continuous rating. DJI doesn't publish a surge rating, so that check is unknown.

  • Runs it

    Wi-Fi router 10 W

    33–43 h

10 W running and a 10 W startup peak fit within the Power 1000 Mini's 800 W continuous rating. DJI doesn't publish a surge rating, so that check is unknown.

Our take

What the Power 1000 Mini is good at, and what to watch for

KiloHour take Suits camera and drone users who want a compact 1kWh battery with long cycle life and strong DC charging, but 800W continuous rules out many kettles, microwaves and space heaters.

The DJI Power 1000 Mini puts 1,008Wh of LFP into a compact 11.5 kg body measuring 314 by 212 by 216 mm. US and Japan models get four AC outlets; DJI says other regions get two because of plug sizes.

Its strengths are battery life and DC charging for camera and drone gear. DJI rates the cells to keep over 80 percent capacity after 4,000 cycles, measured at a 400W discharge. It has a 100W USB-C port, a built-in retractable USB-C cable (150W total when both are used), two USB-A ports and an SDC output rated up to 300W. Input options include AC, a 400W SDC input and 100W USB-C, plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The main limit is inverter output. DJI lists a maximum of 1,000W but continuous output of only 800W, which is low for a 1kWh station and rules out many kettles, microwaves and space heaters. In bypass mode, the US model passes through up to 1,440W from the wall. DJI's spec page does not publish a solar rating, UPS switchover time or surge figure, so we leave those fields as not published. DJI rates it for use and recharging between 14 and 113 F.

FAQ

Power 1000 Mini questions

Answers use the same published specs and labelled assumptions as the calculator.

How long will the Power 1000 Mini last?

1,008 Wh stored, about 907 Wh of it usable at the typical estimate. At its full 800 W rating it empties in about 0–1 h.

What is max (non-continuous) on the Power 1000 Mini?

max (non-continuous) lifts the limit to 1,000 W, for resistive loads (kettles, heaters) only. Motors and electronics stay capped at 800 W.

Can the Power 1000 Mini run a CPAP overnight?

Yes: 2 nights of 8 hours from a CPAP drawing 34 W with its heated humidifier and tube on (ResMed's measured figure).

Which Power 1000 Mini specs are not published?

Not listed by DJI: surge rating, solar input limit, 12 V car port output, weight, UPS switchover time.

How fast does the Power 1000 Mini charge from solar?

DJI has not published a solar input limit for the Power 1000 Mini, so refill times are not shown.
