Our take

What the Yeti 1000 (2026) is good at, and what to watch for

KiloHour take Pick it if you want the Yeti 1500's 2,000W inverter and 12V ports in a 35.3 lb body, with the trade-off of 998Wh and a 1,000W AC fast charge.

The new Yeti 1000 holds 998Wh of LiFePO4 and shares the Yeti 1500's inverter: 2,000W continuous with a 3,600W surge, across four AC outlets. Goal Zero rates it IPX4 and lists it at 35.3 lb (16 kg), about 17 lb lighter than the Yeti 1500.

The ports carry over from the bigger model too. There is a 140W USB-C port, a 60W USB-C port and two 30W USB-C ports, a 405W 12V High Power Port for vehicle builds, a 162W 12V auxiliary port and two 135W 6mm ports. Solar input reaches 900W when the 600W HPP input and the 300W 8mm input are used together, and the user guide lists automatic switching from grid to battery in under 15 ms.

Wall charging is where it differs. AC fast charge draws 1,000W, below the Yeti 1500's 1,500W. The unit defaults to a 500W low-speed mode, so the quoted full charge in 1.1 to 1.2 hours needs the input limit switch moved. Goal Zero rates the cells for 4,000 cycles to 80 percent with a five-year warranty, and its app is required for connected features.

The listing itself needs care. Its store description still carries the Yeti 1500 spec block, the page title says 988Wh, and the solar recharge time reads about 2 hours in one place and 3 hours in another. We use the Yeti 1000 tech spec table and user guide, which agree with each other.
