Our take

What the Yeti 1500 (2026) is good at, and what to watch for

KiloHour take A good fit for overlanding, job sites and camp use where water resistance and strong 12V ports matter, but at 52.75 lb it is heavy for its capacity.

The 2026 Yeti 1500 is a rugged 1,505Wh LiFePO4 station with a 2,000W pure sine wave inverter and a 3,600W surge. Goal Zero rates it IPX4 for water resistance and lists discharging from -4 F (one spec table gives an upper limit of 140 F, another 104 F), which makes it a strong fit for overlanding, job sites and camp use.

Its 12V side stands out. Alongside the AC outlets, Goal Zero lists a 405W 12V high power port, a 162W auxiliary port and 6mm outputs, plus a 140W USB-C port and a total of 260W across USB-C. Charging options include 1,500W AC fast charging for a full charge in about 1.1 hours and up to 900W of combined solar, split between a 600W HPP input and a 300W 8mm input. Cells are rated for 4,000 cycles to 80 percent, with a five-year warranty, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth app control, and automatic switching from grid to battery in under 15 ms.

The main trade-off is weight. At 52.75 lb (23.93 kg) it is heavy for 1.5kWh, more than some 2kWh rivals. AC charging defaults to a 750W low-speed mode, so the 1.1 hour figure needs fast charge selected. Reaching 900W of solar requires using both inputs, and Goal Zero says the app is required for its connected features. The page lists no expansion battery.
