What the Power 1000 V2 runs

From its 2,600 W AC outlets, 3 of 6 listed devices last their usual hours, the fridge, microwave (1,000 w cooking power) and space heater do not.

  • Tight fit

    Fridge 123 W

    14–16 h

It runs about 16 h 17 min, short of the 24 h you need. Runtime at its 41 W average, as the compressor cycles.

  • Runs briefly

    Microwave (1,000 W cooking power) 1500 W

    30–33 min

The Power 1000 V2 runs it, but only for about 32 min at 1,500 W.

  • Runs briefly

    Space heater 1500 W

    30–33 min

The Power 1000 V2 runs it, but only for about 32 min at 1,500 W.

  • Runs it

    TV 120 W

    5–6 h

120 W running and a 120 W startup peak fit within the Power 1000 V2's 2,600 W continuous rating. DJI doesn't publish a surge rating, so that check is unknown.

  • Runs it

    CPAP with humidifier 34 W

    16–19 h

34 W running and a 34 W startup peak fit within the Power 1000 V2's 2,600 W continuous rating. DJI doesn't publish a surge rating, so that check is unknown.

  • Runs it

    Wi-Fi router 10 W

    34–43 h

10 W running and a 10 W startup peak fit within the Power 1000 V2's 2,600 W continuous rating. DJI doesn't publish a surge rating, so that check is unknown.

Our take

What the Power 1000 V2 is good at, and what to watch for

KiloHour take A good fit for creators and drone users who want 2,600W and fast wall charging in a 14.2 kg unit, but solar and car charging need DJI's separately sold accessories.

The DJI Power 1000 V2 holds 1,024Wh of LFP and lists 2,600W of continuous output, which DJI says it can hold until the battery is empty at 25 C. DJI does not publish a surge rating. The US model has four AC outlets, two 140W USB-C ports (280W combined), two 24W USB-A ports, and SDC and SDC Lite ports for drone fast charging and accessories.

Recharging from the wall is fast. DJI lists 0 to 80 percent in 37 minutes and a full charge in 56 minutes, but the peak charging rate of 1,440W needs the battery at 60 percent or more and a room between 68 and 95 F. Solar and car charging go through separately sold accessories. With the 1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger it can accept up to 1,800W solar input, but only when paired with a 2048Wh expansion battery. Up to five of those batteries bring the system to 11,264Wh, and the UPS mode switches within 0.01 seconds.

Next to its siblings, it sits between the Power 1000 Mini, which DJI rates at 800W continuous, and the Power 2000, which doubles capacity to 2,048Wh at 22 kg. The 1000 V2 weighs about 14.2 kg. The spec page lists no dedicated solar input or 12V car socket, so plan on DJI's adapters. Charging noise is listed at 26 dB.
