Our take

What the Power 2000 is good at, and what to watch for

KiloHour take Suits home backup setups that may grow to 22,528Wh with expansion batteries, but solar and car charging need separately sold DJI accessories and it weighs about 22 kg.

The DJI Power 2000 stores 2,048Wh of LFP and lists 3,000W of continuous output, which DJI says it holds until the battery runs out. DJI does not publish a surge rating. It has four AC outlets, four USB-C ports (two at 140W and two at 65W), four USB-A ports and two full SDC ports for DJI's chargers, expansion batteries and drone fast charging.

Expansion is the headline. DJI lists up to ten 2048Wh expansion batteries for 22,528Wh in total, and the UPS mode switches within 0.01 seconds, which suits home backup. Wall charging peaks at 1,800W, 0 to 80 percent in 55 minutes and full in 90 minutes, though the peak rate needs the battery between 50 and 80 percent and a room between 68 and 104 F. Adding solar or car input while on grid power lifts total recharge power to 2,200W, or 3,000W with an expansion battery.

Solar and car charging rely on separately sold accessories. With the 1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger and an adapter cable it accepts up to 1,800W solar input, which DJI says fills it in about 75 minutes. Against the Power 1000 V2, it adds 400W of output and twice the capacity but weighs about 22 kg instead of 14.2 kg. The four USB-A ports also drop to 10W each when more than one is in use.

FAQ

Power 2000 questions

Answers use the same published specs and labelled assumptions as the calculator.

How long will the Power 2000 last?

2,048 Wh stored, about 1,843 Wh of it usable at the typical estimate. At its full 3,000 W rating it empties in about 30–33 min.

Can you add batteries to the Power 2000?

Yes. DJI lists expansion to 22,528 Wh, about 11 times the built-in 2,048 Wh.

Can the Power 2000 run a CPAP overnight?

Yes: 4 nights of 8 hours from a CPAP drawing 34 W with its heated humidifier and tube on (ResMed's measured figure).

Which Power 2000 specs are not published?

Not listed by DJI: surge rating, solar input limit, 12 V car port output, weight.

How many watts can the Power 2000 power?

3,000 W continuous.
