Our take

What the DELTA 3 Classic is good at, and what to watch for

KiloHour take Suits buyers who want 1kWh, 1,800W of output and a 10 ms switchover in the simplest DELTA 3 package, but the page lists no extra battery support and no car outlet.

The DELTA 3 Classic is the pared-back version of EcoFlow's 1kWh DELTA 3. It holds 1,024Wh of LiFePO4 and delivers 1,800W continuous with a 3,600W surge rating. Its spec table lists X-Boost at 2,600W, which lets resistive loads run at reduced voltage.

The differences from the DELTA 3 are in charging and ports. The Classic lists 1,400W AC charging against 1,500W on the DELTA 3, no extra battery support and no car outlet in its spec table, and a second USB-C port limited to 30W beside the 100W one.

Charging is still quick. EcoFlow lists 0 to 80 percent in 45 minutes and a full charge in 60 minutes from the wall, about an hour from a 1,400W smart generator, and about 2.5 hours from 500W of solar. A 500W Alternator Charger, sold separately, adds charging while driving.

For backup use, EcoFlow lists a 10 ms switchover and pitches it at NAS boxes and servers. Noise is rated at 30 dB or less at 600W, and the unit weighs about 12.1 kg. App control works over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Two caveats are worth knowing. The five-year warranty is three years standard plus two more only after you register the unit in the EcoFlow app. And since the page lists no extra battery, 1,024Wh is all the capacity you get, so plan around it for longer outages.

FAQ

DELTA 3 Classic questions

Answers use the same published specs and labelled assumptions as the calculator.

How long will the DELTA 3 Classic last?

1,024 Wh stored, about 922 Wh of it usable at the typical estimate. At its full 1,800 W rating it empties in about 25–27 min.

What is X-Boost on the DELTA 3 Classic?

X-Boost lifts the limit to 2,600 W, for resistive loads (kettles, heaters) only. Motors and electronics stay capped at 1,800 W. Motor starts can briefly pull up to 3,600 W.

What is the DELTA 3 Classic solar input?

Up to 500 W of panels. A single 200 W panel needs about 1.4 sunny days; panels at the full 500 W need about 2.8 peak-sun hours. Panels are assumed to deliver 75% of their rating.

Can the DELTA 3 Classic run a CPAP overnight?

Yes: 2 nights of 8 hours from a CPAP drawing 34 W with its heated humidifier and tube on (ResMed's measured figure).

Does the DELTA 3 Classic work as a UPS?

EcoFlow lists a 10 ms switchover when wall power drops.
