What the DELTA 3 Plus runs

From its 1,800 W AC outlets, 3 of 6 listed devices last their usual hours, the fridge, microwave (1,000 w cooking power) and space heater do not.

  • Tight fit

    Fridge 123 W

    14–16 h

It runs about 16 h 17 min, short of the 24 h you need. Runtime at its 41 W average, as the compressor cycles.

  • Runs briefly

    Microwave (1,000 W cooking power) 1500 W

    30–33 min

The DELTA 3 Plus runs it, but only for about 32 min at 1,500 W.

  • Runs briefly

    Space heater 1500 W

    30–33 min

The DELTA 3 Plus runs it, but only for about 32 min at 1,500 W.

  • Runs it

    TV 120 W

    5–6 h

    120 W running and a 120 W startup peak fit within the DELTA 3 Plus's 1,800 W continuous and 3,600 W surge ratings.

  • Runs it

    CPAP with humidifier 34 W

    16–19 h

    34 W running and a 34 W startup peak fit within the DELTA 3 Plus's 1,800 W continuous and 3,600 W surge ratings.

  • Runs it

    Wi-Fi router 10 W

    34–43 h

    10 W running and a 10 W startup peak fit within the DELTA 3 Plus's 1,800 W continuous and 3,600 W surge ratings.

Our take

What the DELTA 3 Plus is good at, and what to watch for

KiloHour take Pick it if recharge speed matters most, from the wall or two solar inputs, but about 1kWh will not carry a full-size fridge through a long outage without extra batteries.

The DELTA 3 Plus packs 1,024Wh of LiFePO4 into a 27.6 lb case, with 1,800W of continuous AC across six outlets and a 3,600W surge rating. That is enough headroom for most single kitchen or workshop appliances, and EcoFlow's X-Boost mode lets resistive loads such as kettles run up to 2,200W at reduced voltage. Within the DELTA 3 family, the Plus is the model with two 500W solar inputs and 140W USB-C; the DELTA 3 has one 500W solar input and 100W USB-C, and the DELTA 3 Classic page lists 500W solar and 1,400W AC charging but no extra battery.

Its strongest point is recharge speed. EcoFlow lists 1,500W AC input and a full charge in 56 minutes, plus two 500W solar inputs for 1,000W of solar in total, which it says can fill the battery in about 70 minutes under ideal sun. The spec sheet also lists a UPS switchover under 10 ms, an IP65 rating for the battery pack, 4,000 cycles to 80 percent capacity and a five-year warranty.

The trade-offs are mostly about scale. At about 1kWh, it will not carry a full-size fridge plus other loads through a long outage on its own; EcoFlow sells extra batteries that take it up to 5kWh. Noise is listed as under 30 dB below 600W but under 40 dB at 1,200W, so heavy loads are audible. All charge times are EcoFlow's own lab figures, and real solar input depends on panels, angle and weather.

FAQ

DELTA 3 Plus questions

Answers use the same published specs and labelled assumptions as the calculator.

How long will the DELTA 3 Plus last?

1,024 Wh stored, about 922 Wh of it usable at the typical estimate. At its full 1,800 W rating it empties in about 25–27 min.

What is X-Boost on the DELTA 3 Plus?

X-Boost lifts the limit to 2,200 W, for resistive loads (kettles, heaters) only. Motors and electronics stay capped at 1,800 W. Motor starts can briefly pull up to 3,600 W.

Can you add batteries to the DELTA 3 Plus?

Yes. EcoFlow lists expansion to 5,000 Wh, about 4.8 times the built-in 1,024 Wh.

What is the DELTA 3 Plus solar input?

Up to 1,000 W of panels. A single 200 W panel needs about 1.4 sunny days; panels at the full 1,000 W need about 1.4 peak-sun hours. Panels are assumed to deliver 75% of their rating.

Can the DELTA 3 Plus run a CPAP overnight?

Yes: 2 nights of 8 hours from a CPAP drawing 34 W with its heated humidifier and tube on (ResMed's measured figure).
