Our take
What the Explorer 300 v2 is good at, and what to watch for
KiloHour take A good fit for laptops, cameras, drones and keeping a router online, but its 300W inverter rules out kettles, hair dryers and most kitchen appliances.
The Explorer 300 v2 is a compact 288Wh LiFePO4 station weighing 8.16 lb (3.7 kg), aimed at laptops, cameras, drones, phones and small lights. Jackery rates its AC output at 300W continuous with a 600W surge peak, alongside a 100W USB-C port, a 15W USB-C port, a USB-A port and a 12V 10A car port.
Its strengths are size and endurance. Jackery lists 4,000 cycles to 70 percent or more capacity, a UPS response of 0.01 seconds or less for keeping a router online, and an 80 percent recharge in about an hour from the wall. It can also charge through its 100W USB-C input, so a USB-C PD charger can top it up. The listed discharge range runs from 14 to 113 F.
The limits are real. A 300W inverter rules out kettles, hair dryers, coffee makers and most kitchen appliances, and 288Wh runs a 60W load for only a few hours once conversion losses are counted. Jackery's spec table lists only AC and the 100W USB-C port as inputs, with no separate solar input rating, so we do not show a solar figure for it. Its cycle rating is to 70 percent capacity, while most rivals quote 80 percent, so the 4,000 figure is not directly comparable.
